THEORY OF RELATIVITY

When I sit in my window and look down at the slum-kids, I find myself to be as Mukesh Ambani. When Vijay Mallya takes a ride in his private plane and when he looks down at those kids (not literally), he must be feeling himself as Bill Gates. When Bill Gates looks at those kids (again not literally, may be through Google maps :P), he must be feeling himself nothing less than God! This is the theory of relativity…! Happiness, sadness, wealth, poverty, success, failure, in fact even love and hatred; all are relative terms in life.

It’s your vision that matters. It’s you who can make yourself happy or depressed. It’s you who can make yourself wealthy or poor. When I lost my mobile I couldn’t stop crying over my lost possession. The same when happened with my brother, he couldn’t stop being happy that now he’ll get a new one! See, vision matters! This is theory of relativity…!

Meter of happiness and satisfaction differs for every individual and moreover there is no upper limit for such meters. The more you get the more you want. Many of my friends tease for being pampered so much by my parents. Some even say that they wish they had parents like mine! Sometimes they say I am one of the luckiest daughters. But ask me, I would rather say I am not the luckiest of the daughters, for my own reasons. In fact, sometimes I start sketching my dream-parents. Actually speaking, somewhere we are not satisfied by what we have. We have always been a thirsty crow. On one side I wish I could modify my life and on other my friends say I am born with a silver spoon! This is theory of relativity…!

Same applies for love and hatred. Ask Anil or Mukesh Ambani, for them brother=enemy. Ask me, brother=best friend! Why is it that A and B are best friends and B and C are best enemies? Simply, because A sketched a good image of B, while C sketched a bad one. A person/thing isn’t good or bad, we make it so. This is theory of relativity…!

When my SSC results were out, I thought it to be a success that I could score so good. Ask my principal, she rather was angry at me that I failed to top. This is theory of relativity…!

Basically, this theory is based on two fundas- first that vision matters, it’s the way you perceive things that matters and second that everyone has his own different likes and dislikes, so comparisons based on such parameters (happiness, wealth, etc) is futile.

Use this theory to lead a better life. When you are sad or you fail look down to people who are leading much more miserable life! If you lose a running race, look at the boy on the wheel-chair and be happy for the fact that you could atleast participate. The day we learn to apply this theory at right time, at right places, in a right way, I am sure tackling problems, facing failures, overcoming a grief would become a child’s play! :)
                                                       Do give this a thought…
